JANUARY

SNOFEST - January 24, 2026

Sauk Centre Snowfest is a high-energy winter tradition that brings the thrill of snowmobile racing right to the frozen surface of Sauk Lake. Free to the public, this annual event kicks off at 11:00 am and draws spectators from near and far to cheer on racers as they fly across the ice at incredible speeds. The fun continues onshore at Sinclair Lewis Park, where visitors can warm up with concessions, grab a drink in the beer tent, and soak in the festive small-town atmosphere. It is a perfect way to celebrate winter in Minnesota, fast, loud, and full of community spirit.

FEBRUARY

ANNUAL FARM TOY SHOW

Each winter, Sauk Centre hosts its beloved Farm Toy Show, drawing collectors, families, and toy lovers from across Minnesota and beyond. Usually held at the National Guard Armory, this event runs from about 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM and features hundreds of farm-related toys—both antiques and new—spread across vendor booths. Proceeds benefit the Dollars for Scholars Arnie Wiener Memorial Scholarships, helping students pursuing agricultural degrees. Admission is affordable, and children under five often get in free, making this a perfect family outing. It’s more than just toys—it’s a celebration of rural heritage, craftsmanship, and community spirit. All proceeds benefit Dollars for Scholars Arnie Wiener Memorial Scholarships for those pursuing education in agricultural degrees. APRIL

SPRING OUT

Spring Out is Sauk Centre’s annual kick-off to warmer days, hosted by the Sauk Centre Area Chamber of Commerce. This fun-filled spring event takes place at The Shed (10098 County Road 11) and features a mix of live music, art vendors, food trucks, raffles, and a designer bag bingo. There’s something for everyone (yes, even axe-throwing if you’re feeling adventurous) making it a great excuse to come out, enjoy the fresh air, and support local businesses and artisans. Whether you want to grab a bite, find unique gifts, or just soak up the community spirit, Spring Out gives folks a reason to linger.

CONCERTS IN THE PARK
Summer Music Series, June - August

Join us in Sauk Centre for free weekly live music at the beautiful Sinclair Lewis Park Bandshell. From June through August, enjoy a wide variety of musical performances every Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM.

This long-standing summer tradition features everything from classic rock and country to polka, folk, and big band favorites. Bring a lawn chair, meet up with friends and family, and enjoy a relaxing night under the summer sky.

This concert series is made possible through generous support from local sponsors and the Community Legacies Foundation, with additional support from the Dairyland Peach, Sauk Centre Herald, and Marc Hinnenkamp.

JULY

SINCLAIR LEWIS DAYS

Sinclair Lewis Days is Sauk Centre’s signature summer celebration, honoring our hometown literary legend while bringing the whole community together for five days of fun. Each July, locals and visitors flock to town for parades, live music, a street dance, kids’ activities, tournaments, a car show, and fireworks over Sauk Lake. The festival captures the spirit of small-town pride and hospitality that Sauk Centre is known for. Mark your calendars now for July 15–19, 2026, and experience the tradition, energy, and charm of Sinclair Lewis Days.

STEARNS COUNTY FAIR

Summer isn’t complete without a trip to the Stearns County Fair. This yearly tradition is a thrill for locals and visitors alike. The fair opens at the beginning of August and attracts between 30,000 to 35,000 people annually. 2025 represents our 123rd year of celebrating the Stearns County Fair from our original location in Sauk Centre, Minnesota. Camping spots are available on the fairgrounds. August 6 - August 10.

AUGUST

NEST FEST

Nest Fest is an annual summer event hosted by Eagle’s Healing Nest in Sauk Centre, bringing together community, music, food, and fun, all in support of veterans. Held from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Nest Fest is free and open to everyone. The festival features live music, food trucks, vendor & resource booths, children’s games, rock-climbing, nest tours, and a silent auction. All proceeds help Eagle’s Healing Nest with their mission to heal and support veterans with invisible wounds, restoring dignity, pride, and purpose. The setting is welcoming, the vibe is family-friendly, and the impact is meaningful.

TIME TRAVELERS TREK

Time Travelers Trek is a family-friendly festival in Sauk Centre that invites everyone to step back in time and experience the town’s rich history in a hands-on, entertaining way. Period actors and local historians bring characters from different eras to life, sharing stories at historic sites like the Sinclair Lewis Boyhood Home, the Little Red Schoolhouse, and the History Museum. Alongside guided tours and historic homes, there are games, music, dancing, food trucks, and fun activities for kids. It’s all centered around Sinclair Lewis Park, making it easy for visitors to explore, learn, and enjoy. Time Travelers Trek is perfect if you like history with a side of entertainment and want to connect with Sauk Centre’s past in a fun, meaningful way.

Berg’s Country Barn - Holiday & Home Show

Berg’s Country Barn is a charming seasonal pop-up shop nestled in Sauk Centre at 42134 County Road 28. Once just a rustic barn on the family farm, it has grown into a beloved fall market and holiday shopping destination, known for its cozy, twinkle-light décor and the scents, sounds, and décor of the season.

Each fall, Berg’s opens for its Fall Market On The Farm during select weekends in September. After that, the space is reimagined for the Holiday Pop-Up Shop, which usually kicks off in November. Hours are seasonal, typically 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM during open dates. For the latest opening dates or special events, it is best to check their social media .
